Strengths to Strategies: Supporting Executive Function in Gifted & Neurodivergent Learners

Amy August 19, 2026

Speaker: Alisha Hagelberg

In this interactive and engaging session, we’ll begin by exploring what executive functioning actually is: the brain’s set of skills responsible for planning, organization, time management, task initiation, and follow-through. AND why these skills don’t always develop at the same pace as intellectual ability. Through a strengths-based lens, participants will leave with practical classroom strategies, simple tools, and fresh ideas for supporting gifted and neurodivergent learners in building the executive functioning skills they need to succeed.
