The Washington Association of Educators of the Talented and Gifted (WAETAG) is a non-profit 501(c)3 Washington state organization. We were established in 1982 to support the education of gifted and talented persons by empowering our educators.
WAETAG is the cornerstone of three organizations whose main purpose is supporting gifted education in Washington state. Together with the Northwest Gifted Child Association, which provides support for parents, and the Washington Coalition for Gifted Education, our advocacy and legislative arm, we offer a three-tiered approach to accomplishing our vision of a world where all students are recognized, respected and passionately supported for their unique needs, talents, and gifts.

Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is the governing body of the WAETAG. The Board sets policy and makes relevant decisions on behalf of the membership by providing general oversight regarding the affairs of the Association, its committees, advisory councils, affiliates and publications. The Board actively pursues Association goals and objectives, and monitors financial affairs.
WAETAG’s Board of Directors works with a professional management company to advance the organization towards achieving its mission and strategic goals.
