Giftedness Knows No Boundaries Webinar Series
A chief concern among education programs and services is the equity of learning opportunities and accessibility of high-quality experiences. Recent changes and enduring circumstances in our schools and communities have provided us with an opportunity to reflect on how we SEE, UNDERSTAND, TEACH and CHALLENGE highly capable and high achieving students. Through this six-session virtual webinar series, we will explore and discuss the roles that equity, access and opportunity play in: • identifying student potential; • understanding the psychosocial development of highly capable students and the diversity with which they express their potential; • fostering high potential in early childhood to secondary students; • cultivating a culture of thinking and enhancing academic discourse in the classroom; • engaging students through instructional strategies and; • effectively challenging students, even through remote learning.
