    How can I help a student who has a reading learning disability get identified as gifted in literary analysis? The student has an extraordinary, (several levels above grade level)vocabulary and deep insight and analysis into text that is read aloud.

    Hi Suzanne,

    What a great question! The WISC may be a good tool for helping identify the strengths you’re talking about despite the reading learning disability. You could also begin collecting a portfolio of evidence that exhibits the strengths in vocabulary and insight. I look forward to other ideas that may be shared by others.
