    I have found that it is also important to clarify what services a district offers to staff and what those services actually look like.  If staff is unaware that they can move students ahead in their coursework, then the chance of them appropriately offering acceleration services is not likely. Also, training teachers how to document a students’ accelerated progress, especially if they are receiving services in their general education classroom, is important in preventing the child from having to repeat a lot of content that they’ve already mamstered in a previous class.
