UPDATE: Beginning in 2023, Educator Grants will be a member benefit. This means you must be a WAETAG member to apply. This help to increase funding opportunities to our members.
WAETAG is committed to supporting educators, so we are thrilled to continue our support through our Educator Mini-Grants. We hope to provide educators with opportunities for professional development and/or support for their classrooms. If there’s a seminar you really want to attend, you need new tools for your classroom, or you want to provide a new opportunity for your students; we’d like to help.
Grant Amounts
Mini-grants are awarded in amounts of $100 – $1000, with an average award of $250.
We strive to support as many educators as possible with grants, and so grant requests for lower dollar amounts have an increased likelihood of being selected.

WE ARE HONORED TO SUPPORT OUR AMAZING GRANT RECIPIENTS
Rachel Kelly
Amon Creek Elementary, Richland, WA
“Thank you so much for your generous support. With the funds from this grant, we were able to purchase three novel sets to be used for classroom book studies. These novels provided our readers with meaningful and challenging text. They provided us as educators with opportunities to facilitate deeper conversations

and ask higher level questions. Our highly capable students are avid readers and it is our goal to provide them with a wide variety of genres, authors, and writing styles. Your grant helped us towards reaching this goal. The students and teachers of Amon Creek appreciate your dedication towards their success”.
Eva Martinez
Lewis & Clark Elementary, Wenatchee, WA
“Thank you for the funds to buy literacy sets for my third through fifth grade students and for read aloud books for my kinder through fifth grade students. Having multiple copies of these books in both English and Spanish will help bring us closer to providing equitable services for all of our talented and gifted language learners. I can’t wait to share what strides we make next year with this generous help and financial support”.
