Lesson Plan Library
We’re building a Lesson Plan Library just for you!
In order to support members’ ability to address 2019 NAGC K-12 Programming Standard 3.6 ” Students with gifts and talents are able to demonstrate growth commensurate with their abilities as a result of access to high-quality curricular resources,” WAETAG is developing a lesson plan database as a resource for our members. It is our hope that together, we can both support and be supported by our gifted and talented colleagues across the state. Together, we empower one another.
We invite you to share a lesson/unit plan that has proven successful for your HiCap students and is based in best-practices for gifted and talented learners.
By submitting a lesson plan you are fulfilling TPEP Criterion #8: Exhibiting collaborative and collegial practices focused on improving instructional practice and student learning
We are using the 2019 K-12 Programming and Subject Standards established by the National Association for Gifted Children to determine effectiveness of a lesson plan. However, we recognize that many lesson plans may be tied to additional standards, such as Common Core State Standards, Next Generation Science Standards, the C3 Framework, or other state standards. Please feel free to list additional standards addressed in your lesson or unit plan.
We are using the learning targets as a framework for defining goals and standards for highly capable curriculum.
(This resource can be used in conjunction with the lesson plans.)
Each lesson plan submitted will be reviewed prior to publication based on the attached Lesson Plan Assessment Rubric.
